Work Schedule

• Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients
• Critical Care experience
• Transport experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required if driving is an essential job function
• Criminal background check within 90 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Immunization and health documentation required, including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• N95 fit test within 9 months of start and updated annually (not required for Sterile Processing Techs)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
• Medication and pharmacology competency exam required prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually with minimum passing scores (specific to critical care and telemetry units)

References and Work History

• Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
• Verification of at least 2 years of employment in the past 7 years, including completion of at least one travel assignment or one month of per diem assignment for travel contracts
