Job Details

• Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, 8-hour shifts starting between 5:45 AM and 9:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• Call Requirements: Yes; rotated through trained RNs on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Call Response Time: Must be ready to make incision within 30 minutes or less for STAT cases
• Floating: RNs also cover Pre-surgery/PATT and PACU
• Orientation: One week unit/department-specific orientation
• EMR System: Paragon
• Scrubs: Provided by the hospital

Typical Workload and Cases

• Average Cases per Day: 9
• Number of Suites: 4 suites, with 3 running concurrently
• Coverage Areas: OR, Pre-surgery/PATT, and PACU
• Common Case Types: General surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Urology, Podiatry, Cardiology (including pacemakers and lead revisions)
• Scrubbing: Not required for RNs

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Experience: Must have experience with the listed specialties and coverage areas (Pre-surgery and PACU)
• License: Valid RN license for Michigan

Additional Information

• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates (not included here).
• If previously employed at this facility, clinicians must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission.
• Schedule is manager-built; no self-scheduling.
• Call duties are shared among trained RNs.
