Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job in Edmonds, Washington
Job Details
- Location: Edmonds, Washington
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, no weekends
- Options: 5 days of 8-hour shifts or 4 days of 10-hour shifts
- Shift times:
- 8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Call/Floating: No call required, no floating
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Radiation Therapist
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, specifically ARRT T
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Certifications (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation approved
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track but not specified here
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work
- Fit mask test (respirator clearance) required annually; will be completed onsite if no recent record available
- Immunizations and/or proof of immunity required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID-19 vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- State-specific searches and verifications as required by Washington state law
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Education verification required
- Work history verification may be required if exceptions to references are requested
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required prior to start
- Completion of annual regulatory and facility-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
- No floating required, but float policy acknowledgment may be required for regional assignments
