Job Opportunity: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Shift Details
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (typically 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
- Thursday shift starts at 8:30 AM
- Weekends and holidays are generally off; on-call only
- On-call hours:
- Monday-Friday: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM (rare to be called in overnight)
- Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (only clinicians ERCP certified can take weekend call)
- Floating may be required to a nearby campus
Required Experience and Certifications
- Valid CVOR Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist within the last year
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation accepted)
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience with Sterris AER (Automated Endoscope Reprocessor)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency as applicable
- Competency exams as required by specialty/unit
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- E-Verify attestation required
- Education verification required (degree or diploma related to specialty)
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable for Washington
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination documentation preferred (declinations not required)
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual requirement for travel candidates)
- Fit mask testing (annual, travel only)
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for any gaps or overlaps
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other nearby facilities
- Call frequency is approximately 2-3 times per month
- Weekend call only for ERCP certified clinicians
- Weekends and holidays are typically closed for this role except for on-call duties
- Candidates must comply with all state and facility-specific credentialing and compliance requirements prior to start
