Radiologic Technologist - General Imaging

Job Type

• Contractor
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour night shift
• Hours per week: 40

Facility Overview

• 60-bed facility
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Covid vaccine required

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of general imaging experience required
• First-time travelers considered with a strong background
• Skills needed:

  • Chest x-rays
  • Long bone x-rays
  • C-arm operation
  • Surgical patient imaging
  • Portable x-ray experience
  • Limited fluoroscopy

Patient Population

• Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department
• Mostly adult patients with some pediatrics

Patient Ratios

• 1:1 technologist to patient ratio

Certifications & Licenses

• Valid Radiology Technician license in Wisconsin
• Radiology Technician with at least 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ARRT certification

Equipment & Systems

• EMR: EPIC
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• PACS: McKesson (preferred experience)
• Portable equipment: Canon
• Fluoroscopy equipment: GE
• C-arms: OEC
• Diagnostic rooms: Dell with Canon plates

Support & Environment

• Transport available 7am-9pm
• Respiratory therapist available 24/7
• Hospitalist available 24/7
• Floating expected throughout hospital for portable imaging, including OR and ED

Orientation & Scheduling

• Orientation: 2-3 days depending on comfort level
• On-call: as needed
• Holiday work: as needed
• Time off requires manager approval
• Night coverage: only 1 x-ray tech and 1 CT tech after 10pm
