Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Buffalo, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 9 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Off on Tuesdays
• No weekends required
• Call is optional

Job Description

• Work in an inpatient setting with standard elective cases similar to ambulatory surgery
• Specialties include Orthopedics, Podiatry, Eyes, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Urology
• Use of specialized equipment such as the MAKO robot for total joint procedures
• Typical workload: approximately 20 patient visits per day across 4 rooms

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• First-time travelers are accepted (prior travel experience not required)
• Photo for badge must be passport style, forward-facing, shoulders up, on a plain background, submitted within 48 hours of contract signing
• OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance required prior to start for fit testing
• Drug testing (9 panel) is not required for client clearance but must be within 1 year if completed
• Facility is latex-free; candidates with latex allergy should be aware no latex is used on campus

Certifications Preferred (Not Required)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Certified Operating Room Nurse (CORN)
