Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) - Travel/Contract

Job Description

• Operate as an OR Tech with strong experience in general surgery, orthopedic (total joints), vascular, and gynecological procedures.
• May be required to float within skillset.
• Weekend rotation required with staff.
• Call rotation includes 4-5 weekday calls every 6 weeks and one potential 24-hour weekend call or backup weekend call.
• Must work one holiday during the 13-week contract.
• No local candidates accepted (radius restrictions apply).
• First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Virginia
• Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT

Scheduling Details

• Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM).
• Weekend rotation and call requirements as noted above.
• Call off policy allows 1 shift off per 2 weeks.
• All requests for time off must be submitted in advance.

• Candidate must review and acknowledge the facility’s orientation and safety manuals prior to start.
• Professional photo required for badge issuance.
• Compliance with facility-specific access and confidentiality agreements is mandatory.
• Fit testing may be completed onsite if necessary.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
