Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Livingston, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, each 12.5 hours (19:30 to 6:30)
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Unit includes Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, GYN, Postpartum/Nursery
- Average daily census: ~19 patients, 26 rooms/beds
- Charting Systems: EPIC and Pyxis
- Scrubs provided; Labor & Delivery staff wear blue scrubs
- Floating: Nurses may float to Antepartum, Postpartum, and PACU as needed
- Call: No call required
- Weekend Policy: Every other weekend based on unit needs
- Time Off: All requested time off must be submitted with application and approved before offer
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- IV Certification required (except for OR specialties)
