Description

Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Overview

Float between units as needed
Weekends required according to scheduling needs
No on-call required
Patient ratios typically 1:5-6
Special focus on Orthopedic Trauma Care including:
- Post-operative care management
- Blood administration
- Wound vac management
48-hour shifts are not approved

Uniform/Dress Code

Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units (which have unit-specific attire)
Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Experience in Orthopedic Trauma nursing
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
