Description

Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Job Overview

  • Float between units as needed
  • Weekends required according to scheduling needs
  • No on-call required
  • Patient ratios typically 1:5-6
  • Special focus on Orthopedic Trauma Care including:
    • Post-operative care management
    • Blood administration
    • Wound vac management
  • 48-hour shifts are not approved

Facility Type

  • Short Term Acute Care
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Total staffed beds: 379

Uniform/Dress Code

  • Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
  • Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units (which have unit-specific attire)
  • Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
  • Experience in Orthopedic Trauma nursing
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
