Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
Seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform interventional radiology procedures using Siemens imaging equipment. The role involves ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining accurate patient records (preferably in EPIC), and fulfilling call requirements.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Rotating day off during the week
- Call Requirement:
- One primary weekday and one backup weekday per month
- One weekend every 6 weeks (alternating primary or backup)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific codes apply)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
- High school diploma or GED verification required
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Annual TB questionnaire
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption requires documentation)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- Fit mask testing required annually for patient-facing roles starting 7/13/2026 (onsite fit testing available if needed)
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Background check and fingerprinting results must be clear before start; pending fingerprint attestations accepted under specific conditions
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually
