Perioperative / PACU RN - Contract Opportunity

Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Weekdays, either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days

Job Summary

• Provide safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process (pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative phases).
• Support, educate, and provide direct care to patients.
• Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team using a multidisciplinary approach.
• May serve as Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
• Experience in Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab
• Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, and interventional pain management

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Current BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• CNOR certification

Skills

• Experience with Cerner EHR system

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience explicitly required
• Work schedule offers flexibility between 8-hour and 10-hour weekday shifts
