Interventional Radiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Weekend Coverage: Possible weekend shifts required
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
- Call Off Policy: Allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Charting System: Epic experience required
- Locals: Not accepted (radius restrictions apply)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Registered in Cardiovascular (CV) or Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiology
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Unit & Facility Information
- Work in an inpatient/outpatient Interventional Radiology department
- Department includes 4 angiography suites (2 single-plane, 2 biplane)
- Access to 1 dedicated CT scanner and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID with an address within 100 miles of the facility required within 48 hours of signing
- E-Verify or attestation required
- 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years (not required annually unless there is a 30+ day break in assignments)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (onsite fit testing possible if needed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Flu vaccination documentation or signed declination form required during flu season
- Professional photo for badge required (no selfies or filters, plain background)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- References: 2 clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Employment application/resume required
- Annual skills checklist update required
Additional Notes
- Candidates must submit all scheduling requests with their application
- Facility may require completion of orientation and safety manuals prior to start
- VA State Police Search completed onsite on first day of orientation for certain candidates; no pre-start action required for this role
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position
