Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN – Mids)

Shift Details

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM)
Every other weekend required
Holidays required as scheduled
Floating within specialty as needed
Scheduled on-call not required

Unit & Patient Population

Emergency Department, 46 beds
Average daily census: 140 patients
Patient age group: All ages
Common diagnoses: Chest Pain, Stroke, Sepsis, Cardiac Arrest, Trauma, Respiratory Illness, Respiratory Arrest
Patient ratio: 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
Experience with Epic charting system
