Physical Therapist Job Opportunity
Location: Ladysmith, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Work settings include acute inpatient, swingbed rehab (census 3-4 patients; 2-3 hours per shift), and outpatient care.
- Typical patient load: 10-12 patients per 8-hour day.
- Patient types: Mainly orthopedic (post-surgical, general pain), neurological conditions, imbalance, and weakness.
- Coverage: Approximately 2-3 hours daily in inpatient and swingbed rehab, with remaining time in outpatient care.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts (typically 8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). 4-10 hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) may be considered. Department hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- No weekend or holiday work required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Physical Therapist license.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist post-graduation; preference for 3 years or more.
- Prefer candidates with inpatient experience; outpatient-only experience will be considered.
- Prefer prior experience with Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Orientation & Onboarding
- One-on-one orientation with manager starting day one.
- Computer-based training included.
- 1-2 days with a preceptor; expected to manage own patients by day 2 and full caseload by day 3.
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Scrubs or business casual attire acceptable.
- Closed-toed shoes required.
Additional Notes
- Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates (not included here).
- Previous employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying.
