Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend (EOW), holidays as needed
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float across all facilities as needed
• Patient Population: Primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with telemetry capability
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• First-time travelers: Accepted

Job Description Highlights

• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative/end-of-life/hospice care, psychiatric observation, diabetes (including complicated cases), and surgical patients including surgical observation
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred but not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

• Must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Must review and sign facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement
• Must submit a professional badge photo meeting strict facility guidelines (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire) prior to clearance
• Must complete Workday login and onboarding tasks before arrival
• Must complete EPIC test with passing score prior to clearance (2 attempts allowed, 3rd attempt requires manager approval)
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgement required

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome
• NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment
• Charge RN experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Floating across multiple facilities is mandatory for all travelers
• The patient population is primarily medical-surgical with telemetry capability, despite the job being posted as MS Tele due to EKG requirements
