Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown (Nights)
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Unit: 33-bed cardiovascular care unit
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Job Description
- Care for patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out, congestive heart failure (CHF), noninvasive ventilation, post-cardiothoracic surgery after ICU, antiarrhythmic IV medications, and peripheral vascular compromise.
- Float to Med/Surg or Emergency Room to cover CVCU/Med Surg holds.
- No block scheduling; flexibility required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown Unit experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional Information
- Orientation for nursing travelers starts on Thursdays.
- Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate.
- On-call pay provided at a set hourly rate with a minimum payout.
- Non-compete: Former direct employees are ineligible for agency placement until 6 months after direct employment ends.

- Cardiovascular care focus with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Unit includes complex cardiac cases requiring specialized nursing skills.
