Description

Nuclear Med Tech - Days

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform radiopharmaceutical preparation and general nuclear medicine imaging.
Conduct camera quality control (Q.C.) and NRC-required daily and weekly Q.C.
Prepare and monitor EKGs for cardiac exams.
Receive and document radioactive shipments.
Equipment used includes SIEMENS Dual Headed ECAM with ESOFT Processing, CAPTUS 3000, NMISGE MAC 5000.
Floating to other units/departments based on competency and licensure.

Schedule

Day shift, 8-hour shifts, scheduled 40 hours weekly after the first week of orientation.
Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Hawaii.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
ARRT or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

Dress code includes scrubs, street clothes, and lab coat.
Prior travel experience is required.
