Respiratory Therapist - Contract Position

Location

• Marinette, WI
• Level III Trauma Center
• 99 beds

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour Night Shift
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Holiday work expectations apply

Patient Population

• Neonate to geriatric patients with respiratory issues

Patient Ratios

• 1:1

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• First-time travelers considered upon review (prior travel experience not explicitly required)

Skills and Responsibilities

• Assist with intubations
• Ventilator experience (including Penton Bennett 840)
• Use of nebulizers, BiPAP, CPAP
• ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) collection
• Experience with transport ventilators (Hamilton and Enve)
• Floating throughout the hospital as needed

Orientation

• One shift orientation to learn unit flow

Support and Resources

• 2 respiratory therapists per shift
• 24/7 house supervisor support

Technology and Equipment

• Charting system: EPIC
• BiPAP machines: V60s, V30s
