Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)

• Sanford, Florida

Job Type

• Travel assignment
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Work in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (Cath/EP) Lab
• Unit includes 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, and a holding area
• Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 2:1
• Staffed by RNs, techs, charge RN, and director
• Equipment used: GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, Penumbra
• Documentation systems: Mac Lab and MediTech
• Scheduling: 4-10 or 5-8 hour day shifts with late stays on call rotation
• Floating may occur to holding, EP lab, or other areas within scope of practice

Procedures Performed

• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Watchman device implantation
• PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
• Peripheral interventions
• Impella device support
• Balloon pump management

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Work Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week
