EP Tech - Radiology (Travel Assignment)

Location: Savannah, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Unit Overview

  • Electrophysiology – Interventional Labs with 3 EP Labs (2 Dedicated EP Labs, 1 Hybrid OR)
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • Staffing: Teams typically include Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, RCIS (3-4 person teams, ideally 2 Techs and 2 RNs)
  • Equipment used: Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, Baylis/VersaCross
  • Documentation systems: EPIC Cupid & MacLab
  • Shift length: 4–10 hour shifts with late stay required
  • ICU/ER experience required for patient care

Procedures Performed

  • Atrial fibrillation (A-fib) and atrial flutter (A-flutter) ablations
  • Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) ablations
  • Ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablations (Radiofrequency & Cryo)
  • Pacemaker and ICD implants (single, dual, biventricular, Micra, subcutaneous)
  • Lead extractions

Required Qualifications

  • Electrophysiology Technician with 21 years of experience
  • Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • ARRT or RCIS certification appropriate for EP Tech role

Additional Information

  • High volume EP lab with involvement in many clinical and field studies alongside outside physicians
  • Unit dress code:
    • Royal blue and black for RNs
    • Navy blue and black for Techs
  • The hospital is a large 612-bed facility with a Level I trauma center and the only children’s hospital in the region
