Description

Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit Overview

Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Staffing: No unit secretary or tech support; only RNs on staff
Equipment: Bedside monitors, arterial lines (a-lines)
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 12-hour shifts with call rotations
Floating Policy: No floating between units
Patient Experience Focus: OAS CAHPS
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Team Environment: Emphasizes great teamwork

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of recent PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience within the last year
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Preferred Certifications: CCRN and CAPA preferred but not mandatory
