Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location
- Roanoke, Virginia

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)
- No on-call required
- Must be available to work one holiday per 13-week contract (rotating with staff, if clinic is open)
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Experience in a clinic setting
- Teaching hospital experience
- Nuclear Cardiology experience
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 1 year of start (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals/extensions
- Education verification of highest earned degree required
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming freedom from communicable diseases
- Fit test within 1 year of start (updated annually)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (updated annually)
- Required immunizations or positive titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- TB questionnaire required for all candidates
- Flu vaccination documentation or signed declination form (masking required if declination)
Documentation and Other Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID with an address more than 100 miles from the facility is required within 48 hours of signing (radius rule enforced)
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Professional photo for badge (plain background, no selfies or filters)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Orientation manual review and acknowledgment prior to start
- Two clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Completed employment application/resume required
- Annual update of skills checklist required
This position is ideal for experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologists with nuclear cardiology and travel experience who meet strict compliance and documentation requirements.
