Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2)
• Work Sites: Two different locations within the same hospital (main hospital and Day Surgery Center)
• Shift: Day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each

  • Shift options include: 05:30-18:00, 07:00-19:30, 08:00-20:30, 09:30-22:00, 11:00-23:30
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Floating: Floating between main hospital and Day Surgery Center as needed
• Weekend Requirement: None
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
• Pending License: Accepted
• Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Background and Screening Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year, including Minnesota Statewide Search and other standard checks
• MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required before start (no starts with fingerprints pending unless approved “more time needed” letter)
• MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) check required for candidates who have lived in Minnesota
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year
• Photo for badge: passport-style headshot required within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete pre-orientation online modules within 72 hours of receiving access; modules take 3-9 hours depending on specialty
• Parking: First day parking validated for free; subsequent parking fees apply depending on shift and location
• No prior travel experience accepted (first-timers not accepted)
• Guaranteed hours subject to client cancellation policy (client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty)

This position is ideal for experienced PACU RNs with strong Epic skills who are comfortable floating between two hospital locations and working day shifts on a travel contract basis.
