Job Opportunity: IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location

• Peoria, Illinois
• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts
• 40 hours per week
• 4 x 10-hour shifts with call
• Call requirements: 7-9 shifts in 6 weeks, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• No floating; assigned to either cath lab or IR only

Department and Work Environment

• Interventional Radiology (IR) Department
• 6 procedure suites/labs
• Average 20-30 cases per day
• Pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas
• Charge RN present 07:30-17:00 (does not take patients, assists with cases and lunch coverage)
• 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) on IR team
• EMR system: EPIC
• Equipment: Phillips monitors

Job Duties

• Scrubbing during procedures
• Passing supplies
• Setting up and taking down procedure rooms

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Active Illinois license or proof that application process has been initiated

Orientation and Training

• Department-specific orientation: 3-5 days in the lab
• 12 non-billable orientation hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Submission requirements include last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off

Notes

• Local clinicians (within 50 miles) are eligible for adjusted rates
• Call off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty or pay obligation
• Scrub color/dress code is provided
