Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic Radiology) - Illinois
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
Contract Length
- Approximately 20 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shifts, typically 12 hours per day
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- Weekend requirement: every third weekend (may vary for travelers)
- No call, standby, or holiday requirements
Job Description
- Work in a Level One Trauma Center environment
- Perform diagnostic radiology imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients
- Frequent involvement with surgical cases (OR experience required)
- Must be able to work independently
- Use of Epic EMR system and PACS (OEC and Carestream equipment)
- Flexible and self-motivated with ability to adapt quickly
- Orientation period: 10 days (12 non-billable hours guaranteed)
- Scrubs provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist license or proof that application process has been initiated
- ARRT certification (MR) or NMTCB certification (Nuclear Medicine Tech Cert Board)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Experience required: Not open to new graduates; must have experience in a busy, preferably Level 1 trauma center
- Prior experience in operating room (OR) settings required
- Preferred experience with Epic, OEC, and Carestream systems
- Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Additional Notes
- Local clinicians (within 50 miles) are subject to a local placement policy
- Call-off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty
- No floating to other departments beyond inpatient, outpatient, and ER radiology coverage
