Medical Technologist Travel Position

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, Monday through Thursday
Hours: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.
• Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Work as a generalist covering Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank departments.
• Use judgment and limited experience to plan and accomplish goals.
• Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of 2 or more prior travel assignments successfully.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification required: ASCP or AMT.

Additional Information

• No call or floating required.
• No 48-hour weekly guarantees.
• Dress code: Gray scrubs.
• EMR system: Cerner/LIS.
• One major and one minor holiday may be required.
• No maximum return-to-office restrictions as long as full-time equivalent and weekend requirements are met.
