Radiation Therapist (Oncology) - Temp Assignment
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Shift: Days
Hours per day: 8
Job Summary
- Administer radiation treatments, simulations, dosimetry functions, and fabricate blocks in preparation for treatment.
- Perform radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist in scheduled or emergent settings.
- Manage daily treatment schedules on clinical equipment and update procedure manuals as needed.
- Work collaboratively with reception, nursing, and physicians to provide patient care.
- Maintain familiarity with all safety features in clinical areas and exercise independent judgment in a high-stress, work-intensive environment.
- Attendance at all mandatory education sessions is required.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Valid Driver's License
Additional Requirements & Notes
- No 10 or 12-hour shifts; only 8-hour shifts will be considered.
- Prior travel experience is preferred but not required.
- Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
- Scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer or during interview will not be approved and may result in rescinded offers.
- Travelers must have voicemail set up and be reachable by the facility.
- Orientation is 8 hours and non-billable.
- Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply but are not detailed here.
