Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics
Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide respiratory care for pediatric patients, including those who are vented, in settings such as Emergency Department (ED), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and general pediatrics.
- Perform diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and provide emergency care as needed.
- Work 48 hours guaranteed weekly, on 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.
- On-call requirements will be discussed during the interview.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
- Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients, including those who are vented
- Certifications required: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Additional Information
- Credentialing documents must be submitted two weeks prior to the start date.
- Start date: ASAP.
