Location: Columbus, Ohio

Job Description
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) – Scrub role
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 to 07:00)
- Weekend shifts with on-call required
- Must be flexible with scheduling
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience
- Cardiovascular Technologist experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- State Surgical Technologist license or certification as applicable
- National certification for Surgical Technologists is not required
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881) required prior to start
- Education accreditation verification required (graduate of accredited program)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap (adult dose)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (medical exemptions require documentation)
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- Fit mask test required annually for patient-facing roles (N95 or equivalent)
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment annually
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required
- Pending background check attestation must be completed if fingerprint results are pending at start
- Candidates must review and sign dress code and hand hygiene policies
- Fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Candidates must comply with fingerprinting and background check processes specific to Ohio
Shift & Hours
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift (total 36 hours/week)
- Weekend coverage and on-call required

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR Surgical Technologists seeking a travel contract with a focus on cardiac and vascular surgical services in a Level I Trauma center environment.
