Respiratory Therapist (Nights) - Washington, Aberdeen

Job Details

  • Specialty: Cardiopulmonary
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour night shift, 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM (36 hours per week)
  • Location: Near Pacific Northwest beaches and Olympic National Forest

Job Description

  • Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care based on patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Function with minimal supervision after orientation.
  • Accountable to Cardiopulmonary Director or Lead Respiratory Therapist in their absence.
  • Strong obstetrics (OB) experience preferred.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
  • Minimum of 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and from wheelchair to bed level.
  • Ability to lift 5 pounds overhead.
  • Ability to pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed.
  • Ability to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher for 300 feet.
  • Auditory ability to perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures.
  • Vision adequate to observe patients and perform charting.
  • Ability to meet specific criteria for the Cardiopulmonary department.
