Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Bradenton, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

• Facility includes a 28-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) and a 383-bed acute care hospital (average census 240).
• Physical Therapy department staffed with 17 PTs (full-time and PRN).
• Day shift only; no night shift coverage.
• Patient caseload: approximately 4 patients/day in IRF, 8-12 patients/day in acute care.
• Therapy equipment includes 2 gyms, Vector, LiteGait, and an ADL apartment.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations, treatments, and discharges.
• Participate in team conferences and family training.
• Utilize adaptive devices and equipment.
• Work primarily on the IRF unit (willingness to work on IRF required).
• Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Stroke and neurological rehabilitation experience.
