About

About 30 miles northeast of San Antonio lies New Braunfels, Texas, offering a unique and diverse quality of life for locals and visitors alike. The city has a distinct German-Texan history, characterized by German signs, Biergartens and its annual Wurstfest. Wander through the Gruene Historic District to get a feel for this old-world town, stopping at antique shops and admiring the architecture along the way. On a scorching day, join the crowds by floating down the Comal River, a 2-mile stretch of river perfect for summer picnicking and barbecuing. After dinner at the historic Gristmill River Restaurant, grab a dancing partner and visit the oldest dancing hall in Texas, Gruene Hall.
