Ultrasound Tech - Vascular (Travel/Contract)

Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Work setting: Adult vascular ultrasound clinic
  • Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
  • Call, float, and weekend requirements: None
  • Patient load: 8-10 studies per tech per day across 4 rooms
  • Equipment: Phillips ultrasound machines
  • Unit systems: EPIC electronic health record required
  • Orientation: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; attendance mandatory with no missed portions
  • Scrubs: Not provided; royal blue color required
  • Interview: Manager requires a candidate interview prior to offer

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer
  • Vascular Sonographer experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required
  • Required vascular ultrasound skills:
    • Arterial mapping
    • Carotid ultrasound
    • Doppler studies
    • Peripheral Vascular Resistance studies
    • Renal Artery Duplex
    • Upper Extremity Arterial ultrasound
    • Upper Extremity Venous ultrasound

Certifications & Licenses

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred
  • If not RVT, RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification may be considered (subject to screening)

Important Notes

  • Start date is subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week (start may be Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week)
  • No return-to-office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation or "do not rebook" status

This position is ideal for vascular ultrasound technologists with solid adult vascular experience seeking a 13-week travel contract with a consistent day shift schedule and no call or weekend requirements.
