Cath Lab Technologist – Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (06:30 AM – 05:00 PM, Monday through Thursday)
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• Call Requirements:

  • On-call Monday–Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • On-call Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30 AM to 6:30 AM (weekends)
  • Holiday on-call as needed
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • On-call approximately every 3rd weekend and 1–2 weeknights per week
• Workload:

  • 2 cath lab suites/labs
  • Average 6 cases per day
  • Common procedures: Coronary, Interventional Radiology (IR), and Vascular procedures (no Electrophysiology cases)

Job Duties

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate cases in the cath lab
• Provide occasional 1:1 sitter assistance as needed
• Use Cerner and Merge EMR systems
• Follow department-specific orientation including CBT assignments and orientation binder completion within the first week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Proficient in scrubbing
• Knowledge of pan/general x-ray
• Knowledge of Interventional Radiology (IR) cases
• Knowledge of Cardiac cases

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided by the hospital (light blue)
• Cardiologist and IR call coverage includes evenings and weekends; 10 days per month on STEMI divert due to cardiology coverage
• Must clock in and out at the facility
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a minimum 6-month gap since last employment before reapplying
