Description

Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Day shift, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Must work at two locations approximately 10 miles apart (about 15 minutes driving time).
  • Block scheduling accommodations are available.
  • Locals and candidates with pending licenses are accepted.
  • No weekend shifts required.
  • No on-call duties.
  • Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs.
  • First-time travel therapists are not accepted.
  • Maximum requested time off (RTO) ideally no more than 5 days.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in Minnesota (pending licenses accepted).
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year.
  • Required certifications:
    • ARRT-T (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Therapeutic)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified; RQI acceptable, certificate of completion not accepted.

Equipment and Technology Used

  • 4 Varian True Beams (2 with EDGE packages, 2 without)
  • 2 GE CT SIMulators
  • Align/Vision RT system
  • CBCT (Cone Beam CT), Triggered Imaging

Facility Highlights

  • Short Term Acute Care hospital
  • Magnet designated, Teaching hospital, Level III Trauma center
  • 672 staffed beds
  • Charting system: Excellian/Epic
  • Parking available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must complete a passport-style badge photo within 48 hours of signing contract.
  • Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration; if not within driving distance of a livescan location, candidate must travel to complete.
  • Candidates with latex allergy should be aware the facility is latex-free.
  • Background checks include a 7-year criminal history and other standard searches; international and sex offender searches are not required.
  • Candidates must comply with all state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements.

This position is ideal for experienced Radiation Therapists seeking a travel contract in a reputable acute care setting with advanced radiation therapy technology.
