Description
Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Easton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
- Shift: Rotating Night/Evening shifts (primarily night)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted)
- Shift Times:
- Night: 19:00 - 07:30
- Evening: 15:00 - 03:30
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled
- Floating: Within specialty and sister ED facilities as needed
- On-Call: No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
- Patient Population: All ages (infant to geriatric)
- Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4, can be up to 1:5 with lower acuity
- Work Environment: Fast-paced ED with multiple complex diagnoses
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
- Rotation based on department scheduling needs, with primary need for night shift coverage
- Candidates must complete required attestations and verifications prior to start
- Orientation held at facility, dress code is royal blue scrubs or business casual initially
- Floating may include coverage at nearby sister ED facilities
