Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)

Unit Information

• Emergency Department (ED) West / Wesley West FSED
• 52 beds
• Staff per shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
• Patient ratios: Average 3:1, low acuity 5:1, pediatrics team nursing
• Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Typical Procedures

• IV starts
• Medication administration
• Sedations
• Pediatric care

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Certification, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in Emergency Department or similar specialty
• Experience working in large facilities or prior travel experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech EMR experience
• Experience in a 52-bed or larger Emergency Department
• Strong patient experience skills

Work Schedule

• Approximately 36 hours per week
