- Approximately 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases in Labor and Delivery.
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel.
- Flexible to float to other units as needed.
- Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- At least 2 years of total travel nursing experience.
- Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP), postpartum, and nursery care.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
