Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position

Location: Gainesville, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Job Summary

Seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech with experience in device implants and cardiac ablations, including SVT and Afib procedures. The position involves working in a Cath Lab equipped with GE Innova X-ray system, Merge, and GE MacLab Hemo System.


Work Schedule

  • Shift: Approximately 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • No on-call required

Unit Information

  • Unit: Cath Lab (Unit 746)
  • Staffing: 2 RNs and 3 CVTs in Electrophysiology Lab
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Procedures Performed

  • Device implants
  • Cardiac ablations (SVT, Afib)
  • Watchman LAAO procedures

Required Certifications and Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Experience with device implants and ablations for SVT and Afib

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with device implants and ablations (SVT, Afib)
  • Proficient in ACLS and BLS protocols
