Description

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Unit: Emergency Department
Beds: 30
Staffing:
- Day and Night Shifts staffed with Charge Nurses, RNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Extenders (NEs)
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Equipment Used: Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn and Dynamap vital signs machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Scheduling: Self-scheduling with four weekend shifts per month; two must be consecutive weekend days

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Proficient in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
