Description

Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 48


Unit Overview

  • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Beds: 29
  • Patient Ratio: Ideally 1:4, currently 1:5
  • Staffing: Unit secretaries and patient care technicians available
  • Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanner, vein finder
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Scheduling: Staff self-schedule; flexible options available, including preference for consecutive night shifts
  • Floating Policy: Staff float to areas within their competencies
  • Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs; no artificial or gel nails allowed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting
