Dietitian Travel/Contract Position

Location: Southbridge, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: Day shift (1st shift)
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekends/Holidays: No weekends or holidays required

Job Description

• Coordinate nutritional evaluation and develop medical nutrition therapy plans for patients.
• Provide education to patients on various therapeutic diets as needed.
• Must be comfortable with enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Strong clinical skills required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, with experience within the last year.
• Education:

  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Science, Business, or related field for those eligible for initial registration on or after January 1, 2024.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition for those eligible prior to 2024.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background check including 7-year search and Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search.
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Clearance attestation required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Fit mask test within the past year (3M-1860-Regular or Small mask).
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: documented immunity or proof of 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer. No declinations accepted.
  • Varicella: documented immunity or proof of 2 vaccines; boosters required if low titer. No declinations accepted.
  • Hepatitis B: documented immunity; booster required if low titer, with declination allowed only after two full series and negative titer.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within past 10 years.
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Q Gold, or TSPOT) within 90 days of start; if past positive, negative chest X-ray within one year and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Drug screen: 10-panel urine drug screen within 30 days of start, including Marijuana/THC. Instant tests not accepted.
• Seasonal vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required for all candidates starting October 1; documentation required year-round.
  • COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination required; no medical exemptions accepted.

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles.
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles.
• Not required for non-clinical roles.
• References must be within 2 years of start date.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications are not required for this role.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests may be required as applicable.
