Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Marshalltown, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Patient types include Telemetry, Post-Op Surgical, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips
• Administer drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system for charting
• On-call and holiday pay multipliers apply

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Drip experience with Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Orthopedics experience
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid driver’s license

• First-time travel nurses accepted if they meet the minimum 24 months of nursing experience
• Orientation date available (specific date not included here)
• Night shift schedule
