Description
Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel/Contract
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Details
- Work 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend and holiday rotations required
- No call responsibilities
- Floating between campuses as needed
- Patient Care Unit (PCU) nurse with 1:5 patient ratios
- Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Peripheral line and PICC line care/management
- Titration of drips
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience, with PCU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Cardiac telemetry experience
Licensure
- Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (required for badge)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including:
- Social Security Trace with all aliases
- County, statewide, national criminal, federal court, sex offender, and FACIS Level 3 searches
- Education verification (primary source, 3rd party)
- International background checks if applicable
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third party
- Two supervisory references required (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Annual skills checklist with one-week grace period for renewal
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start (includes THC, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, etc.)
- Fingerprinting (NC SBI) required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam (if applicable) within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually
- Adult Tdap vaccine proof required
- Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray if positive history
- TB questionnaire within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart
- Hepatitis B titer or declination required
- Varicella immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept-Feb)
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Must complete compliance by deadline (12 Noon EST Wednesday prior to start)
- Must pass mandatory questionnaire prior to offer
- Badge photo must meet strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing)
- Must review and sign floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement form
- Must complete health history form and upload prior to clearance
- Must complete onboarding tasks including Workday login and multi-factor authentication setup before arrival
