Description
RN
Overview
- Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
- Employment type: Travel
- Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Temp-to-perm: Possible
Unit Details
- Mixed cardiac and medical ICU
- Patient types include DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CCU - Coronary Care (1 year of experience)
- CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
- Experience with Impellas
- Experience with Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries
- Experience with CRRT
Experience
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- 1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates will be accepted
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- No call
- No floating
Additional Notes
- New hires must complete orientation and competency validation within the first 30 days
- Dress code: Teal or Caribbean Blue
