PCU Travel/Contract RN Job

Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma patients
• IV Start capability
• Cardiac Drips - Titrate capability

Work Expectations

• Work every other weekend; consecutive weekends may be needed based on operational needs
• May be assigned unit charge nurse responsibilities with training and resources provided
• May be expected to float to Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU with resources provided
• Refusal to float may result in termination of contract
• Call-ins must be made up during the pay period when possible, or added to the end of the contract depending on FTE status

Compliance and Health Requirements

• COVID vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted with a doctor’s note
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB screening within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start
• Color blind testing required
• References from recent employment required
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Background check and license verification required before start
• Orientation safety acknowledgment and facility-specific onboarding documents required
