Registered Nurse (RN) — Med Surg/Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including some titration

Clinical Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
• Experience administering and titrating medications including amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, insulin, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, Isuprel, milrinone, and argatroban

Work Expectations

• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Required to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, unless local placement is accepted under the stated exception
