Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement, prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, prior to start date
Role Summary
- Provides direct nursing care on the assigned unit
- Coordinates patient care with the interdisciplinary team
- Provides patient education to support safe discharge
Key Responsibilities
- Completes daily rounds and addresses unmet patient care needs
- Develops and updates plans of care based on patient assessment
- Assesses patient condition, pain, and nursing needs, then takes appropriate action
- Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition, including emergencies
- Communicates patient observations to the care team and documents them accurately
- Begins discharge planning early and provides education and counseling to patients and families
- Delegates nursing interventions within scope of practice and competence
- Performs other assigned duties
