Location

• Salida, Colorado

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Contract role
• Nights, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
• 24 hours per week
• Weekends and holidays required
• Overtime optional after 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS

Role Summary

• Provides direct care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Assesses and evaluates patient status, develops care plans, and coordinates with the care team
• Educates mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and wellness during pregnancy and after delivery
• Documents care and education in the medical record
• Communicates patient condition to the physician and nursing supervisor
• Assists with procedures, emergencies, and maintaining a safe patient care environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
• Regular use of hands, talking, and hearing
• Frequent standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Must be able to smell to detect changes in odors
• Requires close, color, peripheral, and adjustable-focus vision
