Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Specialty: Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Location: Evansville, Indiana
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Trauma level II experience
- Experience with Epic
Schedule / Assignment Details
- Bi-weekly orientation
- First to float within skillset
- May float to another campus and potentially to a second campus
- 3 weekends out of every 6-week schedule
- Every other holiday
- No call requirement
Clinical Setting
- Cardiac renal unit
- High-acuity telemetry / medical-surgical patient population
- 41-bed unit
- Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires
Key Skills / Responsibilities
- Telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Initiating and titrating drips
- PIV insertion
- Chest tube and indwelling drain management
- CBI
- Managing stable drips
- Nephrostomy tube care
Additional Notes
- No local candidates within a 40-mile radius
- Scrubs must not display competing health system or agency logos
- 3 call-ins can result in termination
- COVID-19 vaccine not required, subject to change
